I’d really like to think that’s what they announced in Dublin, Georgia at the beginning of the “1st Annual Deep South Lawn Mower Racing Association Race of Champions, an evening concert with DEEPSTEP, sponsored by your friends at DUBLIN CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP, and much more!”
Will have to wait for next year to find out. We arrived from a long-ass road trip from Tampa to Dublin (via every back road imaginable only to Google Maps) just in time for the riders to collapse at the end of a muggy, hot day of riding.
The road trip was fun: me, Chip Litherland & Bob Croslin, sweet A/C, good tunes and cold drinks. And many laughs. These adventures are way more fun and fulfilling to do with friends. Tamika Moore and Rob Mattson and others arrive separately soon.
We’re all going to tackle the Redneck Games tomorrow/Sat, should be a blast.
The local lawnmower race was a bonus apertif.
While it would have been nice to see the action, honestly, I feel that just being here for even part of the night was great. Two guys nearly came to blows over lawnmowing protical. There was a live country concert playing Hank, Jr. And some of the best, $2 ice-cold Bud I’ve ever had.
Tomorrow is the main show…
